- Monitor the activities of lab to ensure conformance with policies, procedures and practices, and recommend improvements as necessary
- Implement procedures to ensure conformance to ISO 9001:2000
- Manage Quality staff in 24/7 operating environment
Requirements:
- Three plus years experience as a Quality Manager
- BA/BS Degree; Metallurgical or Quality Engineering preferred
- Strong problem solving skills and an analytical background in Quality
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a 24/7 operation
- Successful candidate will be comfortable on the factory floor as they are in the lab or office
MAINTENANCE MANAGER – FPM-Cherry Valley, IL
Job Duties:
- Leads, manages and directs activities of maintenance workers engaged in the installation of heat treating machinery, tools and equipment, in preventative maintenance and repair of heat treating apparatus, and in the maintenance of the buildings and utility systems of the plant.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities, and schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools and equipment.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, electric, gas and air required for operations.
- Develops and maintains the preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
- Confers with management, engineering and quality assurance personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions
- Responsible for training/supervising of maintenance personnel.
- When necessary, may be required to travel to other company plants to assist with maintenance or other business matters.
Requirements:
- Three plus years experience as a Maintenance Manager in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably with heat treating equipment;
- Strong mechanical and electrical expertise necessary;
- Proven leadership, management and supervisory experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/heat treating service operation;
- Knowledge of subordinate monitoring, coaching and counseling.
- Technical 4-year Degree (in Mechanical or Industrial or Material Science Engineering) is preferred;
- Strong interpersonal communication and team-based problem solving skills and ability to prioritize;
- Successful candidate will be hands-on and comfortable working on equipment and training others.
